Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - View to a Kill

Since I was watching Goldfinger the other day. I was thinking why not post Duran Duran's James Bond theme song. It's been fifty years of Bond, so why not. To celebrate it here it is! Pretty much we got the guys running around helping James Bond out on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. You have agent Roger Taylor in a cake truck sending out cameras so he can see what is going on. He has someone telling him stuff through a phone, can't tell you whose side hes on while watching this. Then we have agent Nick Rhodes doing a little photoshoot with a model. Then we seen agent Simon le Bon walking around the Eiffel Tower viewing area with a cassette player (man, I miss those!) that has the capabilities to blow up stuff all around the world. Then we got agent Andy Taylor who is undercover as a blind accordion player. Then you got agent John Taylor acting like he is just a plain old tourist, who ends up using the little sight seeing microscope thing has a gun and shooting it around at the bad guy who James Bond is chasing around the Eiffel Tower to make it look like all five of them are helping 007. Call me crazy but I think the music video is a lot better then the actual movie. The movie is just, ok. Not the best James Bond movies in my opinion. It has one of the greatest James Bond theme songs, and it seems like it's the only thing that's going for it. Is it a bad thing that I think the music video is better than the actual movie? If I would've made the music video with the boys, I would've had them run around acting like their all double oh [insert random number here] and act like agents like James Bond. Would have been cool to watch to see each member of Duran Duran acting like their on own missions!

Fun Fridays: Walt Disney World - Epcot's World Showcase Players performing King Arthur and the Holy Grail

Another lovely entertainment show to see at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park in the UK Pavilion you can see. For times please visit Disney's official site. They do street performances in random locations during the day in the UK Pavilion. Three talented guys I've ever met: Phil, Art and Karl (the usual main three) there is another sub named Bill. That's all I know off... Haven't really spent time with the others. Their wonderful guys and it's quite a show to stop and watch. They also bring laughter to your vacation. I recommend seeing them. And guys if your reading this, I miss you guys and I hope to come visit you guys soon and watch your show. Feel free to join me for a pint of beer at the Rose and Crown Pub! Or join me watching Off Kilter or the British Revolution! :)

Wesnesday's Not So Well Known Song: Duran Duran - The Valley

The Valley... Great song. Best song from the album Red Carpet Massacre in my opinion. Not the greatest album in Duran Duran history. Even though there are some good songs on there. But I did enjoy the fact that Duran Duran did team up with Timberland and Justin Timberlake on this one. I am hoping in the near future they can just team up with Justin Timberlake, we actually do more of a collaboration with him. But anyways, I love this song. This video of them preforming it live on the TV show Songbook, which I believe you can find on a TV station somewhere in the United Kingdom. If you want to know the whole story behind the song you can watch here, I'll probably post the whole video later on a Fun Friday. Make sure you have time to watch it because it's around forty-seven minutes long. But it's actually interesting to listen to the band talk about making their music. I love getting random facts I didn't know about the song and it makes me think differently about the song itself. But I like this version because it isn't on the album. Just the main fact that John Taylor's bass solo is longer then it is on the album. Nice to hear him play the bass longer then usual in this song. I like the song better this way. They should have also released this as a second single from the album, would've love to see what a music video would look like for this!

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - Friends of Mine

Hello, it's been a while. Been quite busy with stuff so forgive me. Anywho I think this is a music video... Feel free to prove me wrong. But it looks like a video in my opinion. Or it could have been one of those Saturday morning TV shows for kids that they use to have on in the United Kingdom. I can't speak for them, I really don't know what they where like. But they had TV stars, music acts and other celebrities on to promote things. It looks like a music video to me. So that's why it's here. Enjoy it. One of my favorites!
