Disney Internships

The program that will change your life forever! I recommend you sign up for it! You need to be a college student who attended one semester of school. If you have ever dreamed of working at a Disney park it's for you. If your an International student from lets say: France, England, Germany, Norway or etc. There are also International Programs for you guys like: Cultural Exchange Program, Cultural Representive Program or the Academic Exchange Program.

Little about the Disney College Program and International Programs. You can either go to
Disneyland (
Anaheim, CA) and Walt Disney World (Orlando, FL). You can do anything from being friends with Mickey and the gang to cleaning the park. The motto for the internships is: Live, Earn and Learn. (May not exactly be in that order.). I am going to split up the information into four sections to explain a little bit more about the Disney Internship Programs. By programs and locations.

Disney College Program: It's either five or seven months long, it's up to you about how long you want to do it for.

International Programs: You can go for a year, six months or three months. I believe it's only for Walt Disney World though. Also one of the programs you get to switch roles for a couple months depending on which program you do.

Disney's Professional Internship: This is for when you completed your program you can apply to be an intern that's a manager. This is recommended for you if you really want to stay with the company. Once the program is over, they will deciede if they want to keep you. If they don't want you to stay, which is rare, you have to reapply again all over again for an hourly role in the parks.

Disneyland: You only get to work at two parks and some resorts. Small area. You get to pay your own rent out of your pocket I believe. That could've change. You should do your own research, some of these facts probably have change and are sometimes just plain old rumors. But I am only giving you the facts, the ones I can remember. So please don't hold me accountable for any of this information. Do you all research is all I am saying. I didn't do the Disneyland one.

Walt Disney World: You get to work in four parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney, ESPN Sports Complex and multiple resorts. Oh yeah, it's a big place two times the size of the island Manhattan. There are four housing complexes you can live in: Vista Way, Chatham Square, Patterson Court and the Commons (Only for international interns, who work at the World Showcase in Epcot or who are there only for a year.). Vista Way is the cheapest out of the four complexes. Patterson Court is the newest one to the four, and also the rent costs the most. The least number of roommates you can have is one up to seven other roommates!

Roles: That is what you pick what you want to do, can be a cook, lifeguard, custodial, merchandise and etc.

Now my story. I did it twice. My first program was Spring Advantage 2010 (January - August). I was Custodial at Epcot in Future World. I love it. I loved my roommates, I lived in Vista Way. I made so many friends I could never forget about. I also worked at ESPN Wide World of Sports for the month of March for the Atlanta Brave spring training. It was nice to see the Braves play while working. Then my second program I did was Spring Advantage 2012 (January - August) then I extend it until January 2013. But that sadly didn't work out for me, it got cut short. But I did have fun during it I meet people who are wonderful and I will never forget in my life. I want to work as full time with Disney World sometime in the future. See how far I can expand my career with the Disney Company.

Like I said, it will change your life forever!
