This is probably the most "scandalous" Duran Duran's music video out of their music video list. It was ban from MTV when they first saw it, this video is the edited one. There is an uncut video out there on youtube you can find it, but I believe you have to be eighteen and over to see it. It's not that bad, like people make it out to be. It's a sexy video lets say that...

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - View to a Kill
Since I was watching Goldfinger the other day. I was thinking why not post Duran Duran's James Bond theme song. It's been fifty years of Bond, so why not. To celebrate it here it is! Pretty much we got the guys running around helping James Bond out on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. You have agent Roger Taylor in a cake truck sending out cameras so he can see what is going on. He has someone telling him stuff through a phone, can't tell you whose side hes on while watching this. Then we have agent Nick Rhodes doing a little photoshoot with a model. Then we seen agent Simon le Bon walking around the Eiffel Tower viewing area with a cassette player (man, I miss those!) that has the capabilities to blow up stuff all around the world. Then we got agent Andy Taylor who is undercover as a blind accordion player. Then you got agent John Taylor acting like he is just a plain old tourist, who ends up using the little sight seeing microscope thing has a gun and shooting it around at the bad guy who James Bond is chasing around the Eiffel Tower to make it look like all five of them are helping 007. Call me crazy but I think the music video is a lot better then the actual movie. The movie is just, ok. Not the best James Bond movies in my opinion. It has one of the greatest James Bond theme songs, and it seems like it's the only thing that's going for it. Is it a bad thing that I think the music video is better than the actual movie? If I would've made the music video with the boys, I would've had them run around acting like their all double oh [insert random number here] and act like agents like James Bond. Would have been cool to watch to see each member of Duran Duran acting like their on own missions!

Fun Fridays: Walt Disney World - Epcot's World Showcase Players performing King Arthur and the Holy Grail
Another lovely entertainment show to see at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park in the UK Pavilion you can see. For times please visit Disney's official site. They do street performances in random locations during the day in the UK Pavilion. Three talented guys I've ever met: Phil, Art and Karl (the usual main three) there is another sub named Bill. That's all I know off... Haven't really spent time with the others. Their wonderful guys and it's quite a show to stop and watch. They also bring laughter to your vacation. I recommend seeing them. And guys if your reading this, I miss you guys and I hope to come visit you guys soon and watch your show. Feel free to join me for a pint of beer at the Rose and Crown Pub! Or join me watching Off Kilter or the British Revolution! :)

Wesnesday's Not So Well Known Song: Duran Duran - The Valley
The Valley... Great song. Best song from the album Red Carpet Massacre in my opinion. Not the greatest album in Duran Duran history. Even though there are some good songs on there. But I did enjoy the fact that Duran Duran did team up with Timberland and Justin Timberlake on this one. I am hoping in the near future they can just team up with Justin Timberlake, we actually do more of a collaboration with him. But anyways, I love this song. This video of them preforming it live on the TV show Songbook, which I believe you can find on a TV station somewhere in the United Kingdom. If you want to know the whole story behind the song you can watch here, I'll probably post the whole video later on a Fun Friday. Make sure you have time to watch it because it's around forty-seven minutes long. But it's actually interesting to listen to the band talk about making their music. I love getting random facts I didn't know about the song and it makes me think differently about the song itself. But I like this version because it isn't on the album. Just the main fact that John Taylor's bass solo is longer then it is on the album. Nice to hear him play the bass longer then usual in this song. I like the song better this way. They should have also released this as a second single from the album, would've love to see what a music video would look like for this!

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - Friends of Mine
Hello, it's been a while. Been quite busy with stuff so forgive me. Anywho I think this is a music video... Feel free to prove me wrong. But it looks like a video in my opinion. Or it could have been one of those Saturday morning TV shows for kids that they use to have on in the United Kingdom. I can't speak for them, I really don't know what they where like. But they had TV stars, music acts and other celebrities on to promote things. It looks like a music video to me. So that's why it's here. Enjoy it. One of my favorites!

Fun Fridays: Walt Disney World - Epcot's British Revolution Performing their Pink Floyd Melody
This is a band you can find at Walt Disney World's Epcot park in the UK Pavilion in the World Showcase. You should check them out if you haven't next time you find yourself in Epcot. Their pretty cool guys. I am good friends with them, spent most of my days off going to Epcot and listening to them and Off Kilter a band in the Canada Pavilion. I also went to see the World Showcase Players do some performances also located in the UK Pavilion. All three are very talented acts. One of Disney's cool live shows attractions you can witness. The main four who preform with the British Revolution are Kevin, Eric, Bradly and Steven. They also have three subs: Scotty, Chad and Greg. All seven of them are really nice and they accept photos and autographs at the end of their shows with guests. In this one video clip is Scotty, Eric, Bradly and Steven preforming. I miss these guys very much... very very very fun to hang around. I can't wait to see you guys soon if you end up seeing this! :)

Wednesday's Not So Known Songs: Power Station - Muderess
Power Station, another side project that the Duran Duran band members found themselves doing. John Taylor and Andy Taylor decided to go off and do more of a rocky-er kind of style thing unlike stuff they where doing in Duran Duran. They made two CDs, one in the 80's and the second one in the 90's (John wasn't on that one, just the other three.) The band was made up of the two Taylor boys from Duran Duran, Robert Palmer and Blake Edwards from Chic. They had Rodger Taylor come in and do a drum overdub on the song Some Like it Hot. I am unsure if he done other drum overdubs on other songs of theirs. But anyway I figured this would've been another single they released if they where going to do one off the Power Station's first CD. Enjoy.

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - Careless Memories
This is one of Duran Duran's first music video. Before Girls on Film and Hungry like a Wolf. They filmed this probably in mid or late 1981 or in the spring of 1982. Not really sure on this, just a random guess. It doesn't matter anyways. So I like this video it's one of the rare ones, just like the Nite Boat, well not as rare as the Nite Boat because you can barely find the Nite Boat one on Youtube. But I like this video because it's just the fact that the main girl is running from Simon le Bon, the front man and running into the arms of John Taylor, the pin up guy for the band through out the 80's. It looks like the song is about a break up or just someone going behind your back and lying about not cheating on you. That how I take it because the girl is running to John secretively without Simon knowing. I have no idea what the other three are doing in this music video. Just randomly in the background just to be there. I would've given them more stuff to do, heck just give them girls to hang out with. I wonder what the photographs Rodger Taylor, Nick Rhodes and possibly Andy Taylor where looking at. Past girlfriends or past memories of them as a group of friends. Who knows?! They should've thought this music video out a bit more, in my opinion.

Fun Fridays: Carol Burnett - No Frills Airline
Carol Burnett use to have a show on in the 7o's on CBS. It's quite funny. I enjoy sometimes catching the paid programing commercials that they have for the show so you can buy the DVDs to watch the greatest of the show or just by season by season. Ok, I am unsure about the season by season one. But if they do... Please let me know. I love watching her show. Quite a funny group she has.
In this sketch Carol treats two of her co-stars very differently when they board the plane that her character is working.
That's it for this week, now enjoy your weekend!

Throw Back Thrusday: That 70's Show
I used to come home everyday after school and watch this. This show was great very funny. It's based off in a small fictional town by Green Bay, Wisconsin. For those of you who still don't believe me... Remember our dinner deal? You still owe me one. The deals that get made at Epcot in Disney World don't get broken. By the way, I miss you guys!

Wednesday's Not So Known Songs: Arcadia - Keep Me In The Dark
Wow, it's not Duran Duran today! Sorry if I am coming a little bit Duran Duran crazy on you. This blog is not all dedicated to the band. It's just that their stuff comes off as interesting to me. You know you always have that one thing that fascinates you. Yeah, that's them for me. But anyways, back to the main point of this first sentence, it's not Duran Duran but 3/5 of them. In 1985 the band split into two different bands, one was the Power Station which included John Taylor and Andy Taylor and also Robert Palmer and Tommy Thompson from Chic, Roger Taylor also played on a few tracks of theirs. Then Arcadia was the second group which was made up of Simon le Bon, Nick Rhodes and Roger also. Don't believe me on the Roger part because you don't see him in any of the Arcadia's videos or in interviews if you feel free to Youtube any of them. I will post a picture to prove that Roger was in the band.
Okay, opinion time. I like the song. One of their first songs I took a liking too. Took me a while to warm up to their other stuff. I find this song sensual to me for some reason. Just listen to the beginning. I don't recommend trying any of the stuff. This song just comes off as sexy for me, peer sexiness!
I know it's not much for this week. Until next, peace.

Music Video(s) Tuesday: Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf, Lonely In Your Nightmare and Save A Prayer
So in 1982 I believe it was when Duran Duran recorded Rio and then they went to film three videos in Sri Lanka: the famous Hungry like the Wolf video and then two unknown other ones, Save a Prayer and Lonely in your Nightmare. I am unsure if all these three videos have a link together. They way the Save a Prayer and Lonely in your Nightmare are connected in the way it looks like, with the same model. I honestly wish they could have a made a movie out of this one too. I will explain why more later on in the entry.
Duran Duran and their management hired Russell Mulcahy an upcoming director at the time. The band have mentioned it various times in documentaries and also you can find it on their official website and also Wikipedia. (Feel free at anytime to correct me if I am wrong about anything. I don't believe everything you read in this blog, because it's either right or wrong. In many ways.) But anyways, this director was looking in becoming a movie director, which he eventually did. Feel free to look at his resume here. I wouldn't have mind it if he actually would have offered up the idea to everyone to make a movie out of these three videos. Would've been cool to have these three music videos that helped Duran Duran lunch themselves on to MTV and the music video history timeline with Michael Jackson as well. Girls on Film was the actual video that got MTV's attention. But enough with that now, we're saving that for another day.
The whole Rio album should have been a big movie. But I am leaving out the Rio video right now because I am just decaite this post to pretty much these three Sri Lanka videos.
But moving on to the main attraction. I will post the three videos below and tell you a little bit of my opinions of the video and what is going on. Got inspired last night to do this now... Go more in details about things instead of just giving you the short of little childish comments about things. More opinions and expressing them like I should!
Hungry Like The Wolf
Do do do do video link: Hereee
I like how this video has a Indiana Jones feel to it! I am not a big fan of the snake sitting on the table right by Simon le Bon. I don't know how Simon did it... I would be just shaking the whole time. That snake! Okay, fear of the snake out of the way here, back to the main topic. Pretty much it's Simon going after a women that got his attention and since he saw her, he wants to be with her. While the others try to find him. The part I love is when John Taylor and Roger Taylor are driving around in the jeep. That always sticks out to me. There is something about this video I just love. I can't tell you what it is... It's just per fun to watch and was was so much fun to make too. So last night I was going through this blog where this lady was doing fun little play by plays about their music videos (feel free to read it here, then if you want to read just about Hungry Like The Wolf here) and she mentions when it's night time, it seems like John, Roger and Nick Rhodes are at this little party or it was the night before Simon goes off to find this girl. But as you watch the video you see John and Roger make out with the girl that Simon is going after. Woah! I wonder if this girl Simon is on the hunt for is the other girl you will find in the next two videos. I could be wrong because she doesn't look like the other model.
Lonely In Your Nightmare
Rare until 2009 remaster video.
This was all flimed in Sri Lanka. Pretty much you see the band at the an outdoor party at night. Simon is hanging around the house while I am assuming in this video his girlfriend (played by a model) is sleeping in the other room. So pretty much it seems like their going to get married possibly when you find her standing across the water in a temple doorway in a white dress. So call me crazy this song might be about getting married or just general going through a rough patch about the wedding.
Second video. Pretty much I think this was the main
video that was released. Video link.
In this video we find ourselves jumping back in fourth in memories with Simon. He looks like he is in a house in London where it's been somewhat trashed and just left like that for a good amount of time, it looks like six months with all the dust. So pretty much it starts with him looking a photos of his I believe ex-girlfriend and the blog I told you about (go up to the Hungry Like A Wolf section where I give you a link to her blog) thinks that they where supposed to get married. This is where it gets a little odd in my mind that in Hungry Like A Wolf you see him going after another completely different women then this girl that he is having memories about in this video. This is why in my opinion why they should have made a full length movie around the album Rio. But the blogger also mentions that it looks like the four other guys know her, when they spot her in different places in London then she disappears when they all see her. Well mainly Andy Taylor doesn't see her, he just think Roger might be loosing his mind a little bit there pointing at something or someone that isn't there. I agree with the blogger, we should have gotten more of a back story on this.
Save A Prayer
I love the opening of this video! All the band members look like their relaxed just hanging out on the beach through out the video. John looks like he's enjoying playing the guitar on the beach and then on the boat for the locals. What the blogger says this video is pretty much the break up video. I would say it's more of a boy loses girl then get the girl back by the end of the movie kind of video. A three minute chick flick in my opinion. I love seeing the band sitting on elephants. There is a funny story in a believe a Biography documentary about the band or in Andy's book or in both! I remember coming cross it twice somewhere. But there is a little story about making this video where Roger was on an elephant and they where playing this mating call on the sound system they had and before you know it off goes the elephant and Roger for a journey to find the mate! I don't know how long it took them to track down poor Roger for the shoot. I think Roger should write a book just like Andy and John did. That's one of the things I want to hear the whole story about along with a few other things, that I won't mention here.
Before I sign off, I am going to let you all know all the Vevo videos belong to EMI. Not mind. No copyright laws I don't want to break. But anyways, until next week. Peace.

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran - New Moon on Monday (Movie Verison)
This music video fascinates me. Main reason is because I want to know the back story of this whole video. They should've made a longer version of it. Or just plain out made a movie about it. Just seems a little untold to me. I would have like it better by giving the others lines. So you know pretty much who is who and what the relationships of all of the characters are like. You also would get to know each of the characters' back stories, like how long they known each other and what is their role in what looks like a protest and their thoughts about what their fighting for. Another thing I would like to know what their protesting against. I would like to also know the outcome of all of this. More about how this all came about background on the whole protests as well. I would also like to have a back story about the girl's father. I am very carious what's the old lady's story is too. All I am saying is that they should have given us more of a back story about it. Maybe they could have made a movie based off of their third album and pretty much based it off of those songs. That sounds like a probably a good idea. I read somewhere that the band wanted to do a movie... I could have gotten this wrong. So feel free to correct me about it.
That's it for this week. New one next week! Peace out.

Wednesday's Not So Well Known Song(s): Duran Duran's Hold Me and Proposition
This goes along with the Music Video Tuesday. I think it's fun to have a little day in the week reserved for a little blog post that dedicates a fun topic to blog about. Sorry if it's a lot about Duran Duran right now. Just have a few opinions about them I like to get out of the way. For my first Wednesday's Not So Well Known Song, I picked out two for you all. These two sorta go together in my personal opinion. Their from Duran Duran's Notorious album that was released in 1986. There are two Youtube videos I want to share with you, well, actually a couple their just different slideshows of the band that goes to the same song, and they have quite rare video clips that show the band in interviews, music videos, concerts or just at a photoshoot having fun with each other. Pretty much you will see all the band members in there, including Warren Cuccurullo and Dom Brown who are fill in for the open space of lead guitar since Andy Taylor left the band in 1985 and then after the reunion in probably 2006 or 2007. In other words if you really want to know when Andy left the second time, go ahead and Google Andy or Duran Duran for the full history timeline. Also in one of the slideshows there are some special appearances by other celebrities... not telling who! You have to watch the videos to find out! But anywho enough with the introduction let's get down to it then, eh?
Hold Me: (This one doesn't include a slideshow sadly.)
Hold Me: (This one doesn't include a slideshow sadly.)
Video's link is here. - The video isn't mine.
I think they should have released this song as a single. Very catchy. A nice love song in my opinion.
Proposition:
Video's link is here. - I don't own the video.
Other fan slideshows made too that I find cool:
Another song I think they should or released as a single. Defiantly something you could dance too. Would have also made an interesting music video as well in my opinion. I really don't know what the plot would've been, but defiantly would have been a good music video... with models included. Don't you think? The band is notorious for having models in their music videos.
Alright that's all for this week... Peace.

Music Video Tuesday: Duran Duran's Night Boat
Duran Duran - Nightboat by jpdc11
This one here... I just found last week. Tried to look all over Youtube for it. I found it but, it wouldn't show because EMI took it down. EMI used to be Duran Duran's record label back in the early 80's. EMI took the videos down due to copyright issues or I couldn't see it here in the United States for some reason. Either way I couldn't see the video. So I went on Google, to find this version and it was let's say bad quality... Pretty much you can't really see much of who is who in the video. I can kind of tell who is who when it's close ups and if someone is talking. Saw Simon Le Bon's face a few times and along with John and Roger Taylor's faces I could see. I heard Simon's voice along with John's and Nick Rhodes. I noticed the sound was a bit off with the picture as well. Just want to come across a better quality version of this! I can't see who comes out of the house after I am going to assume Roger got trapped in the house by I am assuming a zoombie. Then someone comes out of the house and I am assuming that is a zoombie version of Roger... I am not sure what this even is about. I think it's a cool video of what I can see. I just want to see a much more higher quality version of this. So if you know where to find one, please pass it on!
That's it for Music Video Tuesday for this week. Peace.

Disney Internships
Hello, Welcome! Here's a Interduction...
Hello! Though I would do a little blog, just generally about anything! Yes, I know that's a lot. I am not much of a blogger but I like doing it for some reason. I have two Tumblrs that I did for my two Disney College Program Internships I did. I enjoyed working at Walt Disney World... more about that later on. Back to Tumblr, I am not that much of a Tumblr kind of person. I see my friends on it all the time just posting on it like it's Facebook, just little photo mimes. No offense to any of you. I am more of a word kind of person, like you used to see when blogs started out. Well, this one will be more like a scrap book too. I am trying out Blogger to see if I also like it too. I just wanted to do this to share stuff with people, generally all kinds of stuff that I find cool.
Well that is it for now. Sorry it's short. That's all I got to say for now, there will be more from me later, as in I will post whenever. So we might go for a while without me posting things. This is just for fun, and about nothing really in particular! It's just a little bit about everything!
